ALTERNATIVE THINKING ON UNEMPLOYMENT

Unemployment is treated as a modern society’s pathology (with comfort pills) and not as an important economical factor.
I propose another term, the “Work Temperature” for instance, to measure:
Available Persons for a Job / Working Person in the Job. The different indicators in the various sectors will form an average which could be multiplied or divided to measurements like economical growth or state income, and reveal the true conditions of an economy.
Second, we can replace the unemployment payment or benefit (I am not sure about the term in English) by the Temporary Community Labor fee. Every one who loses his/her job can undertake a community job on a daily basis, offering his/her skills and abilities outside or even inside his home to those who need them (nursing children, elderly people, homeless, campaign work, volunteer action, teaching etc) for a minimum consideration (per hour or per day). One can take as many duties as he can manage and thus to ensure a small but decent temporary fee, without losing his creativity and sociability. State services, hospitals, municipalities, institutions are obliged to offer this kind of social labor and inform the public.
Work is not a privilege; it is a fundamental civil right.
